you to join and to actively participate in our community. We need
you and we need each other; as well … Liberian Community
Association-D/FW & Diaspora and Liberia need you.
We do have
several standing committees that you may choose from to meet your
participatory needs.
Our Mission and Guiding Principles
The mission of the Liberian community Association – Dallas/Fort
Worth and Diaspora (FW & Diaspora) is to be a servant organization
dedicated to improving the lives of its members’, strengthening its
communities, and fostering civic engagement through transparent and
good governance, service and volunteerism.
What are the Principles
that guide us? As we
pursue our mission, we are guided by the following principles: •
Communication –
Be the ambassador of Good news from and about
Liberia to all Liberians and the
friends of Liberia to help drive investment in Liberia. • Put the
needs of Liberians living in the Texas and Liberia first. •
Strengthen and encourage partnerships that support investment in
Liberia and all of our local initiatives. • Use our programs to
build stronger, more efficient, and more sustainable community
networks, capable of mobilizing volunteers to address local needs,
including outreach efforts to Liberia. • Build collaborations
wherever possible across our initiatives
• Exhibit excellence in transparency government, management and
service leadership.
What organization can we envision?
We envision an
organization that is: • A valuable resource to Liberians
living in Texas, America and in Liberia - and a partner with -
national, state and local organizations that encourage community
service and address community needs through volunteerism. • A
good steward that operates in a cost-effective manner •
Entrepreneurial, innovative, effective, and efficient in utilizing
its resources, influence, and activities.
My friends, I ask that you to join the
Liberian Community Association-D/FW & Diaspora today. Please contact
